Privacy Policy

The short version
- A player's quiz progress stays on the device it was made on. It doesn't come to us.
- We don't run ads, we don't use advertising or analytics trackers, and we don't sell or rent anyone's information.
- We don't ask a player for a name, an email, or anything else. There are no player accounts today.
- If you buy a plan, Stripe handles the payment. We get your email and your plan, never your card number.
Know the Plays is a service of FalconEyes LLC ("we," "us"). This policy covers knowtheplays.com.
What stays on your device
The site saves a few things in your own browser so it works without an account. They are not sent to us:
- Progress. Each quiz answer and which plays a player knows.
- Plays you create on the digital whiteboard.
Clearing your browser's site data erases them. They don't follow you to another device.
What we collect
- When you open a team playbook: two cookies that remember, on that device, that the team's code or link was entered and which team was picked. They hold no name and aren't used to track you. They are the only cookies we set.
- When a coach or parent reviews a play: the marks, corrections, answers, and notes, saved on our servers so the play can be fixed, with a copy in that browser so nothing is lost if the connection drops. We ask reviewers to use players' numbers, not names.
- When you buy a plan: Stripe collects your name, email, card, and billing ZIP code. From Stripe we receive your email, which plan you bought, for how many players, and whether it is active. We never receive your card number.
- When a coach's videos are shared with us: the videos, which can include the coach's voice and hands, and the plays we make from them. They are stored privately and are not published.
- When you email us: your email address and what you write.
- When any page loads: our hosting provider records standard technical details, such as IP address, browser type, the page requested, and the time, to keep the site running and secure.
Children
Players are kids, so this matters most. Today we do not collect personal information from players of any age: there are no player accounts, a player is never asked for a name or an email, and a player's progress stays on the device.
We do not knowingly collect personal information from a child under 13. If you believe a child has given us personal information, email hello@knowtheplays.com and we will delete it.
When accounts arrive, a parent or guardian will set up the account for any player under 13, players will go by a first name only, and we will update this policy and ask for a parent's consent, as the federal Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) requires, before collecting anything from a child. A parent will be able to see, correct, and delete their child's information, and to stop any further collection.
How we use what we collect
- To run the service: show a team its playbook, record a plan, and answer your email.
- To make plays accurate: turn a coach's video into a play, and fix a play from a review.
- To improve the service, including how well it reads coaches' videos.
- To keep the site secure, and to meet legal, tax, and accounting duties.
We don't use anyone's information for advertising, and we don't build profiles of players.
Who we share it with
We don't sell or rent personal information, and we don't share it for advertising. We share it only with:
- Companies that provide parts of the service to us: Vercel (hosting and file storage), Supabase (database), Stripe (payments), and AI service providers we use to help turn a coach's video into a play. They receive only what they need to do that job.
- Your team. People who have a team's code or link can see that team's plays. A coach's review is seen by the person who keeps the team's playbook and by us.
- The law. If a court order or the law requires it, or to protect someone's safety or our rights.
- A successor. If the business is sold or reorganized, the information moves with it under this policy.
How long we keep it
- Plan and payment records: as long as the plan is active, and afterward as long as tax and accounting rules require.
- Reviews: as long as the team's playbook exists, so a fix can be traced to the coach's word.
- Coaches' videos and the plays made from them: until the team or the coach asks us to delete them.
- Email: as long as we need it to help you.
Your choices and rights
You can ask us what information we have about you, ask for a copy, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email hello@knowtheplays.com and we'll answer within 45 days. We won't treat you differently for asking. We may need to confirm it's you, and we may keep what the law requires us to keep.
California residents: you have the rights above under California law. We do not sell personal information and do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. Because we don't track you across sites, there is nothing for a "Do Not Track" or Global Privacy Control signal to turn off.
Coaches: to have a video or a play made from it removed, email hello@knowtheplays.com.
Security
Information is encrypted in transit, payment details are held by Stripe and never by us, and the database is closed to everything except our own servers. No system is perfectly secure; if something goes wrong that affects you, we will tell you.
Where it's kept
The service is run from the United States. If you use it from another country, your information is processed in the United States.
Changes to this policy
When what we collect changes, this page changes first, and the date at the top changes with it. If a change is important, we'll say so on the site or by email before it takes effect.
